Heads up: this browser is blocking local storage (often private/incognito mode). RealTimeBudget still works, but your data will disappear when you close the tab.

What can you spend this week?

Two answers and you have your number. Count only the money that is actually yours to spend — leave out rent, tuition, car payments and anything else already committed.

All data stays on this device. Nothing is uploaded. No account required.

One more thing, and it takes 60 seconds

Open every app that moves your money — bank, credit card, Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay — and turn on instant transaction alerts for every charge.

They tell you the second money leaves. RealTimeBudget tells you what that means for the rest of your week. Together they are the whole system, and neither half works as well alone.

RealTimeBudget never asks for a bank login, because it never connects to your accounts. That is why there is nothing here to breach.

Want a heads-up before you cross the line?

RealTimeBudget can warn you at 50%, 75%, 90% and 100% of your weekly number, plus a daily check-in that reaches you even when the app is closed. The wording is written on your device from your own figures — your numbers are never sent anywhere.

Money moves

Based on your own numbers

Log a couple of weeks of spending and this page will point at the accounts and cards that actually fit the way you spend — not a generic top-ten list.

How this page makes money. Links marked Paid partner link earn RealTimeBudget a commission if you open an account. That never costs you anything, and it never changes what we show you — matches are calculated from your own logged spending before any partner is considered. Full disclosure.

This is information, not advice. RealTimeBudget is not a bank, broker or financial adviser, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy any specific product. Compare terms yourself before you open anything.

Preferences

No account, no sign-in, no server. Your name is only used to say hello on this device.

Alerts

Threshold alerts (50 / 75 / 90 / 100%)Always on, in-app
Device notifications—

With notifications on you also get a once-a-day check-in around 6pm, which arrives whether or not the app is open. It is written on your device from your own numbers — nothing about your spending is sent to us to produce it.

Do this too: turn on instant transaction alerts in your bank or card app. Your bank tells you money left; RealTimeBudget tells you what it costs you for the rest of the week.

Import a statement

Catch what you forgot

Almost every bank, card, Cash App, PayPal and Venmo account can export a CSV of your transactions. Drop that file here and RealTimeBudget will read it, skip anything already logged, and let you pick what to keep. The file is read inside this browser and never leaves your device.

Where to find it: bank or card website → Statements or Activity → Download → CSV. In Cash App: Activity → the three-dot menu → Export CSV.

Your data

Your data lives in this browser only. Clearing browser data, or switching phones, loses it. Download a backup at the end of every month.

About
